Phone fall in water

I have an issue with my phone samsung S24 plus my phone fall in water i went to customer care they tell me i have to pay 387.26 US dollar to fix it, can someone advice me my phone s24+ is waterproof and my phone is still under warranty

Could your warranty protect it? It could be a matter of negligence. If they say you have to pay while you have warranty, maybe they'll classify it as that.
