As and when we receive the android 11 update,  should I reset the phone,  then update or should I update,  then  reset the phone?

no need to reset, just update, max to max you can restart ur phone post updation

better is update to Phone and format your phone then put the phone in the refrigerator for at least 2-4 working day then see, your phone work without 😀any issue.
