Unable to add Card in Google Pay

Hello there,
I was trying to add my new HDFC debit Card that I received couple days before. The card is currently being used for transaction however when I tried to add the card in Google pay i was not able to.
Google pay was giving an error that the device is either rooted or altered which is not the case. I never modified anything except signing up for Beta.

Anyone else is facing this issue?

Nope i use CITI working fine ...may be because of the beta stream some issues...
update the app if any and clear the app data and cache and relogin to the app with your credentials post a hard reeboot

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried these options along with signing out gpay and relogging in but still having same issue.
I tried different cards too.

Can someone try to add the card and see if it works for you?

O wait a min...its a new card right? Go to hdfc online banking portal n switch on online transaction for 3rd party for ur accout n card...it will start working in 48hrs.

Yes, its a new card. I tried it as well. I was able to add the card to Samsung pay but Gpay is not working still.

Upi takes 10 days for a new card/account for activation.
