But I have set AoD to show only on tap. I want fingerprint scanner icon to be always visible on screen, even when screen is off.

finger print scanner is a part of always on display. the literal translation means that "always on". so if ur AOD is set to show only on tap, its natural the finger print scanner would also show when the AOD comes on tapping while the screen is off. isn't it??
