power key

The power key of my note 9 seems to malfunction. Every time I try to lock my phone, power off/ restart option pops up. This happened after I try to cool my phone under water briefly. Plzz suggest a solution.

this is physically button issue so better to visit service centre but as of now do these steps
first Reboot in a safemode

steps to turn safemode;
long press on power button>
long press on power off option>click on safemode >your mobile will restart and turn into safemode.

and once clear Wipe cache partition

1) Turn off the device.

(Connect with type C cable/type C earphone only for Android 11)
OR
IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER MOBILE THEN CONNECT WITH CABLE WHETHER IT IS TYPE C TO TYPE C OR MICRO USB PORT take help of otg connector to connect other mobile.

2) Press and hold the Volume Up key and the power button.
3) When the Android logo displays, release all keys.
4) Press the Volume down key to navigate and select "Wipe cache partition".
5) Press Power key to select. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Select Reboot System.
6) Press the Power key to restart the device.

I have tried everything u said. It's a hit or a miss for power key mostly it misses. what could be the issued ?

yah and safe mode too issue hasn't resolved

that means its not from software, its a physical issue might be due to your water work😄, but its strange for me to cool ur phone u keep it under water😁😁😁😁
but on a serious note it can harm ur device if you put for a long or continuously

just 5 sec in water that's all trust me I have done this before and nothing ever happened but isn't the phone ip68 can be kept under water for 30 min

ohk i understand it has ip68 rating and obviously if you kept only 5 or few more time then its not that risky but don't know this time what happened but the thing is now you have to visit service centre

Why would someone want to cool their device under water??? Anyways, visit a service center, seems to be water damage.
