Go to settings, Apps, then chose the apps that you don't want them to use in the background. then below uncheck the Allow Background Data Usage. hope this helps
you should combine the features of power saving and data saver. In settings>Apps> Select the apps that you don't need to be connected to network in the background and turn of allow app to be used in the background. now in battery setting under the apps restrict background usage. kindly note that by doing so the app will be inactive and automatically stopped from syncing or giving any updates from the moment you minimize the app.
still the same.. even though the app is working and im getting messages. In iphones or other devices, we have options to close some applications permanently till we turn it ON. but here it's just stop the background usage.
