Yes htc phones are great and they release updates quickly but unfortunately they overprice their phones everytime.

U can't choose a phone by update policy.
U r to choose by specs.
It's not possible to get early updates with Samsung UI.
Samsung UI easy very difficult to overskin stock Android.
HTC UI is not at all good.
