OthersFirst, read this article :
https://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2400801,00.asp
• The Poco F1 is created by Xiaomi. Xiaomi doesn't have any 'proper' service center in India. Even if you manage to locate a service center, the staff over there is outsourced and is not from Xiaomi. Xiaomi saves a lot of cash by not providing proper after-sales support.
• The Poco F1 (Normal edition) is built out of plastic instead of metal. Some metal is used for structural integrity, but the most of it is plastic. Again, money saved.
• The Poco F1 has an IPS display. The display is average. But the issue here is that it can only go upto about 460 nits on maximum. The average brightness will be around 200-300 nits which is extremely dim.
• The Poco F1 has a good camera which competes with cameras from much better devices. Although, the camera doesn't have OIS or EIS.
• IPS displays are known for thier poor viewing angles and lack of color contrast. But they are quite cheap.
• The only selling point of the phone is the Snapdragon 845 chipset. Xiaomi has managed to decrease their profit margin and put in the best SoC for mobiles currently.
• Battery : All you see is the 4000 mAh tag. That is not all.
The Poco F1 uses a Lithium Polymer battery which has a much shorter lifespan and stores less power. Lithium Polymer was extremely expensive earlier but now Chinese brands have been able to produce them at really low costs. Lithium Polymer batteries also overheat frequently and degrade very quickly as the batteries are low density batteries.
Samsung, always provides high density Lithium - Ion batteries.
Chinese brands choose Lithium Polymer batteries as they are non - combustible (Won't explode so they don't have to test them) and are generally much cheaper.
Anyways, the Poco F1 is a good phone and if you are ready to compromise a little bit, you might buy it.

OthersThere is increasing demand for cheap chinese devices because users care for cost rather than quality. So xiaomi is pressing that cost factor and giving competition to samsung and apple. It is good that samsung and apple has competition. Look samsung now thinking of giving second major update( oreo) to mid range because nokia is giving competition in terms of providing updates to mid range . Don't worry competition will not halt innovation but it will accelerate it!
