Download and install this app from Play Store (a link):
It's called URLChecker. Open it and set it up.
[Set it as your default browser app in Settings>Apps>Choose default apps>Browser app>URLCheck]
Once it is set up, opening any links that requires the Web browser to open, will open this app as a pop up instead. You can see the full link that you tried to open/select on the screen. You can analyse the link to see if it is suspicious or edit it as needed then open it in your web browser.
If you have multiple Web browser installed on your phone, through this URLCheck app, you can select your desired browser you want to open the link with.
Be careful with short links.
Have a good day.
