Samsung has done amazing in developing their own apps. These apps have great features and are smoothly running on any android phone and ios as well but it beats me why they are not focusing on their app store aka galaxy store. It's like they keep it just for their own apps and everything else are not related. Keeping two app stores in a phone takes space. Like having play store and galaxy store together is meaningless. They should develop galaxy store to a level that it rivals Google and Apple stores.
Galaxy Store is a well designed app store that serves its purpose with many well known developers publishing their apps on store, directly. Galaxy Store is there just in case Google and Samsung decided to part their ways in future for whatever reason, Samsung would still be able to support its Android eco system for its devices, or any app developer getting in dispute with Google would still be able to publish their apps on Galaxy Store like Epic Games. So, it's not meaningless.
It's not there to "threat" Google, it's serves as a backup for Samsung, given the fact what just happened with Huawei in recent past. You don't want that to happen to Samsung too. You don't have to use it, move it to pre-created Samsung folder.
