it is always desirable to reset phone after a major software update..

technically, fast charging of every phone gets slower after 70% of charging due to the resistance of battery..
Secondly, latest phones avoid fast charging after 80% percent inorder to save battery life and minimum degradation of battery..

if your phone is not charging fast at earlier stages, then check adapter, cable of charging, voltage of socket and finally resetting the phone.
