From Samsung flagship devices, wearables and accessories samsung devices features industry leading water and dust resistance.
Now, It's important to understand that none of samsung products are waterproof. Depending on the device, Samsung devices use the rating codes known as IP or Ingrees protection atm.

ISO 22810:2010 and MILSTD- 810. To describe levels of water resistance.
The IP rating is the most commone of these ratings.
Samsung products with an IP rating are certified to this international standard also known IEC IP 60529 is a products's IP rating considered of 2 numbers the higher.
Great protection.

The 1st number refers to protection against solid or dust and the raitings range from no no no.
To six or ingress of dust.

The 2nd number rates the protection against liquids & ranges from 0 to 9 or no inggress of water under certain conditions. If an x appearance instead of either of the number the products wasn't tested to that standard. So a rating of IPX7 for example:-would mean that no dust resistance testing was performed.

So with that in mind the most common IP ratings for samsung mobile products are IP67 or IP68.

An IP67 rating means that, a device can be submerged in wayer 3 feet deep for up to 30 minutes.

An IP68 rating changing the depth of water to 5 feet. Having said this, we need to keep in mind that none of the water resistance corresponds to a products being waterproof. And water resistance can be affected by other factors like physical damage to your device exposure to liquids other then fresh water or pressurised.

IP testing is performed with fresh standing water. So, if your device has been exposed to liquids other than fresh water. Be sure to clean it with fresh water and dry it completely with a soft cloth. Be sure to pat the ear pieces, primary mic, speaker, and USB port as you dry.
Remember to remove rinse with fresh water and dry any cases or covers.
And since some samsung devices are also certified to the IPX5 standard low pressure water such as your home faucets can be used clean residue from those devices. Testing is performed under controlled conditions and real world durability can vary based on other factors. You should use your device in a mannar consistent with rating of your device and its care and handling instructions.

If your device has been exposed to liquids and need repair visit a samsung authorized service centre. Every device is individually evaluated by a certified technician.
