Hi All,
I thought the following is worth sharing, in case some one has similar isuue.
I purchased QLED Q60R 55 inch model, in the month of January, 2020. Within few months of purchase, it was exhibiting a weired issue.
After using tv, when I switch off the tv using the smart remote, in 20-30 seconds, it gets switched on automatically. This doesn't happen always, but happens ramdomly. Initiall it used to happen once in a week. But gradually, the frequency of this issue increased and was showing up once in every two days.
I have logged service requests with samsung and when ever the service engineers examine my tv, this issue never reproduced. So, they simply reset my settings and close service request. But, the actual problem still remained.
Lucky me, I could take a video of the issue when it happened. With that proof and after multiple calls/escalations, finally samsung has changed the board of the tv and the issue was resolved.
Note : Once board is changed, in the service remote, some settings need to be done(like country code). This has to be done by sevice engineer. Otherwise some features of tv doesn't work
I have spent lot of time and energy for this issue and lost peace of mind until it got resolved. Hoping that this post helps avoid that situation for anyone having similar problem.
