SUGGESTIONS for Samsung Community

I had provided feedback about the Samsung Members app here:

This post is somewhat related, and a continuation of the same to improve the overall user experience on this platform.

NEW SECTIONS

1. News/ Information

There should be a new section calledNews/ Information where members can post links to external posts, without adding any content of their own.

Ideally, posts should have contributions from members, in the form ofORIGINAL CONTENT. 

I have seen several posts where members have simply copy-pasted something from somewhere else. They don't even have the courtesy to provide a link to the original source. 

The least they can do is to acknowledge/ give credit to the original author, unless they themselves are the authors of such posts elsewhere.

Anyways, posts that are simply linking to other sites without any contribution from the member should be posted here.

2. STORE UPDATES

This can be a sub-section of the above, or a separate section by itself. This is where members must post info about updates available for apps or security related updates that aren't specific to any device, e.g. Google Play System Updates.

3. APPS

In this section, members can post about apps, including but not limited to, unique apps they happen to find, app reviews, questions, etc.

IMPROVEMENTS

1. FAVOURITES FEED

Members can add sections to FAVOURITES and be able to see only posts related to their favourite sections. For example, if I add the Galaxy S series and Tech Talk sections as my favourites, my FAVOURITES FEED will only show content posted in these sections.

If such a feature is provided, there should be a setting to exclude all pinned posts.

Admins, please don't force your pinned posts down our throats. This is especially annoying for users who have already read those posts, or who are not interested in them. Please provide an option to hide all pinned posts with a single click, or even better as a setting.

ALTERNATIVELY, you can leave all pinned posts collapsed by default, leaving just the latest post, or ones that were posted on each day on Top. Again, a maximum of 3 pinned posts would be ideal, with the rest being collapsed (users can view the rest by clicking on the 'expand' button).

2. TIME STAMP

The Samsung Members app doesn't show timestamps of posts that have been edited. It would be nice if the same is made visible in the app too, just as when using a browser.
