As the Apple provide 5-6 yr software updates to their particular devices why can't you also rethink of giving software updates to your phones
If not all phones atleast to your premium devices like note series,tablets or galaxy premium phones
as we are spending huge amounts on buying one phone we might have some advantage too like apple users get.
I think Many are spending more on buying Apple devices instead of buying of one of your premium devices for this major disadvantage of not receiving software updates after 2-3 yrs
Samsung recently change its software policy now premium phone will get 3 major os updates, as samsung announce it last night so more clarity will come after few days,
Apple launches a limited no of devices each year and that too only high end ones. Thus they can easily manage the software updates for their devices, while Samsung provides devices for all the price segments reaching people of all economic backgrounds, they cannot maintain support for all of their devices as they have to keep up-to-date in the market by introducing devices with new technology as well. The piling no. of devices they need to maintain software support forces them to drop support for existing models even the flagships.
