One UI 7.0 Beta Users Must Update to Latest Build for Stable Version

Samsung has issued a warning to Galaxy S24 users who joined the One UI 7 beta program: Do not exit the beta early. If you leave without rolling back to One UI 6.1, you may not receive the stable update. Your device must be running either the latest beta version or One UI 6.1 to receive the update.

Exiting One UI 7.0 beta early may block your access to the stable version

Samsung started beta testing the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update in early December of 2024. It has since released three beta builds for the Galaxy S24 lineup in India, China, Germany, South Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US. The beta program isn’t available in other markets or for other devices. The latest build came early last month with version number ZXLJ.

Shortly after rolling out this update, Samsung issued a warning for beta participants. According to the company, Galaxy S24 users who installed a One UI 7.0 beta build must update to the latest version to receive the stable build. Anyone who exits the program early without installing the latest beta build may not receive the stableupdate.

However, the stable One UI 7.0 should be available for your Galaxy S24, S24+, or S24 Ultra if you roll back to One UI 6.1 after exiting the beta program. With the stable rollout expected soon, Galaxy S24 users are advised to ensure that their phone is running One UI 6.1 or One UI 7.0 beta with the build number ZXLJ.

We still do not have a precise release date for the stable One UI 7.0 update, though. While the Galaxy S25 series shipped with a newer build, there are a few quirky flaws. The charging animation still isn’t as smooth as it should be, and the lockscreen shortcuts are missing for some users. Hopefully, the next update will address all issues.
