Does anyone perhaps know how to retrieve a lost gmail account. I had to get a new phone since the last one broke and cannot remember the password. Thanks in advance
I've tried that recovery and they send a two way verification pin first to my nr but then to complete the verification step they send the 2nd pin to my email which I cannot access
Usually for account recovery they require a different email from as yours, but I think Google is still recognizing your broken down device as logged in, if you're logged in on say your pc, just select the option to logout of other devices
Depending on whether or not you set an alternative email address for TFA, otherwise, Google cannot send you a verification code to the same email address you are trying to gain access to.
It could be that Google wants you to verify using your previous device as that is the primary verification method Google sets for TFA. By sending a notification to your previous device and asking you to tap a number that you are seeing on your new device. In this case, you can force a phone number only verification by selecting other verification options. Or if a verification code is being sent directly to an email address, there's a chance you mistyped your email address, and Google is not really sure such an account exists. To be sure you are typing the correct email address, at the sign in page, tap forgot email, then enter your phone number, and then your first and last name. When you see your email address, tap on it. You will be asked to enter your password. Just tap forgot password. Next if it asks you to enter the last password you remember, just enter 8 random characters and login to start the recovery process.
