When buying phones from third-party platforms like Flipkart or Amazon, it's natural to have concerns about the authenticity and warranty status of your device. I recently bought the Samsung S24 from Flipkart, and to ease my worries about whether it had been previously activated, I decided to check its warranty status. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you do the same:

Step 1
First, search for the official Samsung website for your country. For example, if you're in India, go to the Samsung India website.
Step 2
Log in to the website
Go to my products-> registered product(if your device is alreadyregistered or else Register your product separately-> tap on view more and look for Manufacturer Warranty

Calculate as per your purchase date to understand when the phone was activated. Generally when you set up your phone for the first time or insert a sim the warrenty gets activated. So use calculation to judge whether it's you who has activated it or someone else.

Let me know it helped you. If you have other ways of checking for the warrenty other than visiting the service center let me know in the comments. 👇

It is always a good idea to visit a Samsung service center to verify the details of your device. I had purchased an S24 Ultra from Amazon, and while the date appeared correct on the Samsung website, the service center confirmed that the phone was pre-activated by two months.

From where did you buy it? And if it was from 3rd party marketplaces, did they accept the returns beyond 7 days of delivery?

Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ytheekshana.deviceinfo
Swipe right to Device after installing and opening the app. It will show Manufacturing Date and device age under Device

I confirm with service center. So there was no need of installing an app. Thanks anyway.
