There's a sudden discolouration of the the dial on my Gear S2 classic. I want to know if it has happened to anyone else, and if it is something that was covered in warranty.
Note: My watch was never exposed to water or high humidity even though it is IP67 rated. So the reason must be something else

Trust me, the colour wouldn't fade off due to moisture or sweat, it wouldn't even scratch off when struck against a wall or floor. There is nothing wrong with the durability of the watch.

dude as i can see in the pics you uploaded. its just a coating getting off the metal surface.. the shiny silver coating is layered above the metal. the dial is not made of steel. its just polished to make you look like that

Actually I do have an apple watch too, but I'm more invested in Android ecosystem, so I rather use the gear with my android phone

Irrespective of what material the dial is made up of, it's quite weird for such a thing to happen to the watch while it was just sitting idle on the desk in an air-conditioned room!
