External Microphone Stopped working after Android Update

Hello, I am a user of Samsung M21 since 3 months in INDIA now. I was using a C Type USB Sound card to connect and use external mic for Voice Recording and Videos that I make. However, I updated to One UI 3.0 and Android 11 yesterday, after which the USB Microphone has stopped detecting sound on my phone. Well, I checked the Same USB and Mic on other device without update and it's working well, meaning there is an issue with Samsung Devive, One UI 3.0 or Android 11.0... The Voice recorder even says it is recording through external mic, however it doesn't record any sound hence detection is not a problem, definitely some software issue. I visited the samsung members community and found so many other users having similar problem with previous version updates as well.

Please guide me to a solution, or provide me a way to downgrade my Software update to previous version so that I can continue using my device as before.

Hello. I  had same problem yesterday on 2 of my kids tablets (sm-290). In video calls microphone doesn't work. Gave me hard time as they use it for online school. We have total 3 of those tablets and 2 were updated 2 days ago with April update and microphone stopped working in video calls. The 3rd tablet wasn't updated and still has February updates and works fine. First I tried everything including factory reset, cache partition clean up but nothing helped. But finally I fixed it by reflashing whole tablet with older firmware, which was I believe July, 2020 and everything works perfect now. This is clearly bug in their April update. All apps were up to date, so it's not app problems. Before I reflashed tablet I also tried reinstalling apps, different accounts, permissions and everything else possible. So either we need to wait for them fix it in new update or downgrade tablet.

My wife and I have the same problem with our 2 Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0" 2019 SM-T290 models and the recent Samsung updates. We Video Skype between 2 different parts of the country. We can no longer hear each other. We have to use phone to hear each other and the video Skype to see each other. We uninstalled Skype and reinstalled, but still the audio over the internet is not working. We checked all the Samsung tablet mic/ audio suggestions to no avail. Samsung needs to correct this bug they created with the update.

Voicing another comment of dissent because two of our tablets are messed up too since the update, for everything external using the microphone- hangouts, messenger, caribu, everything. But the microphone works for the camera. 😕  I'm not updating the other two, that's for sure.

I am also facing the issue. M31 is not detecting external microphone. I am a musician and unable to record audio from keyboard. Samsung please fix this ASAP!

Same problem in my Samsung f62 there is nothing external mic BM800 or etc not detected in my any video recording ,Samsung support cant solve my problems yet ,only nonsense advice me to everytime . How we the singing people yet cant sing with the popular apps Smule and Starmaker also.

what a rubbish advices given me any time by samsung support chat ,there they cant take as sample to test the problems then advice to another.

its a software Android 11 and UI.3.1 probelms Sir please solve the problem soon otherwise we urge to return this mobile soon .I dont need this mobile
