Dual WhatsApp issue.

Dear members, 

Could you please try this fix and confirm whether it worked? 

1. Create a back up for your existing dual WhatsApp ( required only if you need your data back) 

2. Remove the dual WhatsApp by opening Settings > advanced features > dual messenger > turnoff the toggle for WhatsApp. 

3. Restart the device and enable dual WhatsApp again by opening Settings > advanced features > dual messenger > turn on the toggle for WhatsApp. 

4. Enter your telephone number. 

5. Restore the backup which we created earlier(required only if you need existing data)

This method worked for me. Just want to confirm whether it works for all.

Hi, I don’t use the second WhatsApp. What was the actual issue with the dual one ? And, are all facing the same kind of issues?

Also, during restore did it ask about the file name? I mean backups for both whatsapp will be there, right?
After backup, is it working fine? I mean, for those files received after restoration.

Backup in the cloud(Google drive) is linked to the mobile number. So the backup for the registered number will be restored from the cloud. You don't need to select any files manually. In my case, everything worked perfectly.

I'm confused, I don't have dual accounts activated on WhatsApp. @Samsung_specialist is there another way to solve the gallery issue? Are we not able to manually choose the location where images and videos from WhatsApp are saved

Before i did this method but not fix this issue, still the same.
