Anyone facing problem while updating this app.
I'm facing it.
While updating firstly this app goes on the update download it but instead of installing it will download the whole app again.

yes but its not permanent..it will resolve after 2 or 3 failed attempts.

Remember Android Webview app already depriciated by Google during Android 8 release

this is now a short of useless app .

developer prospective it is required . not necessarily all apps reuired for user , some are for development prospective

webview app always in disabled state for user profile , it is only active when root user available to access the system

update chrome.if you u disable chrome u need android webview updated to use web browser's.If you enable chrome updates it regularly to use web browsing.Chrome has built in webview.

Kindly follow the below mentioned troubleshooting steps and be assured it would resolve your issue:
1) Update your software(If available):
Settings > Software update >Tap on Download and install > Check for software update > Tap on Download > Download update > Tap on Install now.
2) Reset the device:
Navigate to apps screen and tap on Settings > General Management > Reset.

Note: Please take backup of the date before resetting the device.

 

If the issue still persists, kindly attach the log file and send it to us in the Samsung member application(attach when the issue occurs within first 15 minutes of the occurrence of the issue.):
Samsung Members App > Feedback >Error report > Attach log file.
