Hie Guys

I just recently bought the Samsung S20 ultra 5G, amazing phone, but i cannot do away with this Activate your device notification everytime the phone restarts or every 2 hours or so when it automatically tries to register. The phone came with Sprint/T-mobile apps and i do not have any of these services  or service providers in my country (Zimbabwe). My SIM card was working fine initially, even with the persistent OMADM notification popping up, but after doing some routine updates, my SIM card is no longer being read by the phone, when i try and make a call or TEXT/SMS, it says :"your phone is not registered on a network, so you can only make emergency calls".

I never had any issue like this with my previous Samsung devices, i was using the A73 5G before this, What can i do to solve this issue?

I can advise you to search online for solutions. Or alternatively join the Nairaland forum, many people who are using USA versions of Samsung devices there.

From my experience, i feel UK networks work well in Africa after unlocking than US networks. I have bought locked phones from UK and have worked really well.

I agree, my experience with UK phones has been gratifying so far, its only now that i'm trying the ones coming from US.

Go to Settings > Apps > System apps > OMADM > force stop

Zvikaramba toedza zvimwe. My little sister had the same problem. I don't remember how we exactly fixed it

Hie, i tried that, the app has seemingly stopped (and disappeared cuz i cannot find it under Apps/system Apps) but the notification still persists.

If you remember how you solved it, please let me know, munenge mabetsera pakuru.

It can mean that your devise is most likely an American version and has its sim locked to an American particular network been shown. It mostly do that when you reset to factory or update sometimes... but you are able to bypass that because some network companies are able to unlock remotely... try contacting the network been shown for remote unlock 🔑 ...

Equally some third party phone fixers are able to bypass and unlock too
