Auto Date and Time is governed by the service provider. Every service provider identifies the time zone of the device location based on cellular towers. I don't know why it isn't working for you. Maybe a little more details will help. Which SIM are you using? Did you happen to travel abroad recently? Have you tried restarting your device and/or selecting the network manually? As an alternative, you can go for Manual time zone settings if you haven't already.
