Hi Members,

 What’s happening?! Today, we would like to talk about a new and evolving trend among gamers worldwide as well as in India. Till now, we only knew the “traditional” kind of gamers who simply play games on their devices (and avoid sunlight, JK) but now we are seeing a more enthusiast breed of gamers who are more social and vocal about games and things in their gaming eco-system. Rise of social media and communities is one of the major factors in bringing this group into the limelight. To cater this fast-growing audience Samsung India is introducing a new beta app, Game Arena. It’s not only allow gamers to play games in the app but also gives suggestions, let them know what's trending and recommend products that they can use for a better gaming experience. It’s a whole new concept and is not an extension or replacement of our beloved Samsung Game Launcher. The app also supports PC Games content as well to bring the best of gaming content on your galaxy smartphones.

Right now we are still exploring this concept and the app is in its beta trial, so as of now we have targeted only the top 10 most played games on Galaxy devices in India and recommended gaming related products & game video contents. i1 i2 i3 The Game Arena beta app provides the below features:
● It gathers all the installed games on your device into the app and lets you launch all the games from the app itself. You can scroll horizontally to find all your games. All your PC games will only be available for viewing option.
● It recommends the best of games, related products and video content for every game you have on your phone. Game videos are categorized into – eSports, Live now, Popular videos.
 ● It helps you explore and search for any game related product and video content in case you do not find it in the recommended content. As of now, the Game Arena beta does not support all available games in the Play Store or Galaxy Apps Store. For all the games that the app doesn’t support yet, it will try to recommend a similar genre of games which is already supported.

For example, Clash Royale is a “STRATEGY” genre game which we are yet to support. So instead we recommend gaming content from a game of the same genre which in this case is “Clash of Clans”. You would notice a message such as “Because you play STRATEGY genre” displayed at the top of the game card. Something like below: i4 In case the genre of your selected game is also unknown to the app, we recommend an assortment of the most popular product and videos.

You would notice the game card like below with the message “Recommending popular content as this genre is unknown”. i5 Game Arena beta is currently available to users with “Invite Only”. If you are among the selected users, you would have received a push notification with the link to install the app already. However, if you haven’t got the notification and would like to try the beta app, we suggest you to drop your details in the comments section below and we will try to include you in future trials of Game Arena.
