Fold 7: Light vibration/current sensation while charging

Hey everyone,
I just bought the Galaxy Fold 7 (Blue Shadow, 512GB variant) in India today (21st July). It’s my first foldable phone, and honestly, I’m loving it so far — super slim, looks premium, and the battery backup has been pretty good on Day 1.

However, I’ve noticed something strange that I wanted to check with others here.

🔋 The issue:

When I plug in the phone for charging, I start to feel a very light vibration or tingling current — especially when I rub my palm across the screen or frame. Initially, I ignored it, but after a while, it became more noticeable.

I tried multiple chargers to test this:

First, I used a Samsung 25W adapter (bought new from the store) + the original cable from the box → most noticeable vibration here.

Then I tested with my Samsung 45W charger (from an S23 Ultra) → the sensation was still there but less intense.

I also used a 3-pin UAE 25W charger (from another S23) → same issue again.

Finally, I tried different wall sockets across my home, and even tested at a friend’s place — the issue persists across locations.


Along with this vibration feel, I’ve noticed the touch screen becomes slightly less responsive while charging — especially on the inner display.

My questions for other Fold 7 users:

Are you noticing this same light electric/vibration feel while charging?

Does your touch responsiveness drop a bit when charging?

Is this a Fold-specific thing or could it be just my unit?


Would really appreciate if anyone can test and confirm this — especially those who just bought the Fold 7 in India. I’m using the phone with stock setup, no accessories attached.

Yes i am facing it. And it was happening with my fold 6 too earlier.

Kindly complaint to Samsung customer support through Samsung Members App as error report also send log files Along with this error report for this issue and go to service center for check and resolves this issue. If you like please accept as a solution it's help to others users also, click on 3dots in my reply section and click on accept solution. Thanks.

That's a serious issue. I've seen one more post like this with the S Ultra model. It seems like a hardware problem. The Best you can do is to immediately visit a service centre and tell them your concern.
Do make a recording if possible when you enter the centre.

Moreover, report this issue through the app.
Open Samsung member application >> tap on support >> tap on send feedback >> choose composer option >> select error >> select the appropriate category >> type your query.

Hi...this is namrata shinde from bombay..

I am Aslo facing the same problem of vibration and current sensation while charging...I hv also purchased on 21 07 2025...I am samsung z flip 3 user since last 3 years...now I purchased fold 7 ...I also tried many chargers and different  places also for charging...but sensation was there but frequency  was different  different  every where...I hv submitted  my fold 7 in samsung service centre on 30 07 2025 ...they checked and they also faced the issue...because  of that  they accepted my phone  but letter on they changed there sentences...now they are saying we are not facing  any kind of problem which ur saying...I am very much dis appointed ...after spending so much money in the lakhs...result was this ....I hv samsung service centre acknowledgement also...now also my fold 7 is with service centre only...I didn't get any solution....I request service centre to replace my phone ...According  to policy I hv submitted within 14 days ...there is genuine problem......pls clear my case..waiting  for the reply...
