Galaxy Z FoldSince you mentioned the issue started after the last two updates, it’s possible the mic gain problem is linked to the recent firmware. You’ve already tried the basics, so here are a few things you can still check:
1. Safe Mode Test → Restart the phone in Safe Mode and test the mic in calls/voice recorder. If it works fine there, a third-party app may be interfering.
2. Clear Cache Partition → Power off the phone → press and hold Volume Up + Power → release when Samsung logo shows → use volume buttons to select Wipe cache partition → confirm. This won’t delete your data.
3. Test Mic in Members App → Open Samsung Members → Support → Diagnostics → Mic. This will help confirm if it’s a hardware or software issue.
4. Report Error Log → Since it looks software related, go to Samsung Members → Support → Error Reports and send one right after you test recording/calling. This helps Samsung engineers check logs and push a fix in the next update.
If it persists even after these steps, you may want to visit a Samsung Service Center for them to run a deeper diagnostic. Hopefully a patch update resolves it soon.
