To Galaxy Z Fold 7 Owners,

What are your thoughts on the Z Fold 7?
I’ve been considering making the switch from a slab phone to a folding one.. I figured seven generations of upgrades would finally get it right.

But despite really loving the slimmer design, I still have a few concerns holding me back from pulling the trigger:

• Inner screen still fragile – The ultra-thin glass can scratch with a fingernail and may suffer permanent damage. This is a deal breaker for me. Keep your nails away from that inner screen!!!

• Camera performance – Still not on par with slab flagships (roughly half the S24 Ultra’s camera capability), though improved. This is important.

• Crease still visible – Less pronounced but clearly felt and seen under certain lighting. Doesn’t bother me much, as long as it doesn’t worsen over time. Some people are complaining about it and saying it gets worse iver time.

• No S Pen support – Samsung removed it to make the phone thinner. That’s frustrating... the large tablet-like screenbegs for a stylus. Removing it feels like the wrong move! I want to scribble on that larger screen!

• Battery too small – Still 4,400 mAh, which drains quickly with that big display. Battery life is essential. This is a deal breaker for me.

• No silicon-carbon battery tech – Still using older lithium-ion chemistry while competitors are moving ahead.

• Slow charging – Capped at 25 W, compared to 45 W on the S24 Ultra or 65 W–120 W on rivals. Too slow for a premium device. I don't have the patience to wait that long. My S24 Ultra has at least 45W charging.

• Limited IP rating – Only IP48. Weak dust protection, hinge still vulnerable. What happens if you drop it in sand on the beach or if it gets splashed? Still feels not ready for real life.

• Outer screen still narrow – Better than before but not wide enough to feel like a normal phone in daily use. I feel it's still off. Compare it to others like Vivo and you will understand what I mean.

• Durability concerns remain – Still more fragile overall than standard flagships; one drop can mean disaster even with a case. I still feel at the mercy of one drop.

• Expensive for what it offers – Still priced like a super-premium flagship but with compromises in durability, battery, and stylus support. That said, I’ve seen good deals.. around AED 5,100 from Amazon’s official seller, roughly the launch price of an S25 Ultra or iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Your experience?
I’m still on the fence. Maybe next year will be the one...but honestly, I’ve been saying that for years.

There’s a reason Apple hasn’t entered the folding market yet, and when they do, I suspect they’ll nail it. Vivo and Honor have made impressive strides too, especially with their wider outer screens that feel more natural in hand, but they’re not quite there yet as well.

Oh, buddy, I'm working in a place where it's all dusty and it's been sucked out twice, but nothing happened. I have dust and dust in my work, but my phone is not affected, and I treat it well, and I care at least twice to clean the screen a day, just because this phone is worth buying. I was the first to try a folded phone to watch movies and series and use it light connection, but the battery still has half a day of intensive use, but normal use can be a full day or a day and a half, and you know in this time, the charger is available everywhere. So I am not afraid of the issue of charging the phone. Finally, the option is up to you. I bought it.

And the phone has a two-year warranty, so I'm never afraid of anything. And I'm not working in a very sensitive place. I'm not taking a tablet with me. So I bought this phone. Z fold 7 It's like a miniature tablet that's not forbidden. I myself, if I see Samsung release a phone with three screens, I will replace it and take it because I like to change.

Thank you for your valuable feedback! For me, it will come down to this: Either the S26Ultra or the ZFold 7.
