My name is Kevin Chandrasena, and I am reaching out to you regarding an issue I am experiencing with my Samsung Galaxy Ultra 22 smartphone, which is registered in the Singapore region. I am living in Sri Lanka.

Recently, I noticed a white line appearing in the top right corner of my smartphone. After conducting some research online, I discovered that this is not an isolated issue but a common one that many Samsung users have encountered in the S22 Ultra.

I purchased this phone from a third-party phone shop and do not have any warranty or authorized certificate for it. Today, I contacted Samsung customer service via live chat, and they informed me that the service centre can provide a one-time LCD replacement service even though my phone is out of warranty. Does anyone know how I can check if my phone has had a free LCD screen replacement in the past?

Hi did you contact a Sri Lankan center? Or was it Singaporean?

The thing is, Samsung SL does the replacement if the phone was bought in Sri Lanka. If it was bought elsewhere, they don't do it

Hi there! This means that you will need to fly your phone to singapore for the offer to be claimed as SL doesn't touch phones from overseas.

If my comment helped you in any way, please consider hitting the 3 dot menu and accepting it as a solution. It helps me. Thank you!

These things can only be answered by a repair centre that is certified by Samsung, as it needs someone to physically open up the phone

Hi.. sad to see this 😐
As a temporary solution, you can set the screen refresh rate to standard from adaptive. Probably by then white line will disappear. Even it is loose the screen smoothness, I think you'll be able to use it a bit comfortably more than now.1718029743043.jpg

Like you said, this issue was common and many users were reported. Later Samsung rollout the free display replacement program around the globe.
Respectively, Samsung Sri Lanka also provide the same. However, to avail this offer, the device has to be purchase in SL either Samsung SL directly or from their official partners/dealers. If the device meet this criteria, you can visit to an authorized Samsung service center. Then they will inspect your device and confirm the issue was not caused by a physical damage. After that they're taking the repair approval from Samsung India for further proceed. If they give the green light, your device will be ready to repair. Full cost of the new display will born by Samsung it self and you might have to pay around Rs. 5,000 as the labor chargers. And as far I know, new display is not an LCD, it will be the Dynamic AMOLED same as what it comes originally. To that's the official offer from Samsung SL. But there're some 3rd party alternative solutions without replacing the display. Hope this help to you ☺️

Hello, I hope you're doing well. Thank you for your comment. Firstly, I contacted the Sri Lankan centre, and they informed me that they have a free offer available until the 31st of April. The SL centre mentioned that they do not provide any services for overseas registered phones. So, I contacted Samsung Service in Singapore, and they informed me that they still offer a one-time replacement for S22 Ultra phones.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, it's okay to use now, but quite annoying to see this happening again and again. Anyway, do you know any solution provided by Samsung Company for this matter?
