usb not accepting

My samsung galaxy s8 when i plug in usb with its gadget wich was provided in offical box its not showing any notification of usb as well as in file manager but when i insert charger its charging can anyone help whats the issue is the gadget is getting old or what?

please go to setting
and search OTG option
enable and enjoy

naa still not showing some times it shows mostly dontz i think tha gadget of usb official gadget is issuing
