I want one for simple writing and drawing.

There's one available on Amazon, does such thing work?

Has anyone used such third party stylus pen for non note device? I know it won't function as note but I only want for writing and some picture editing. Will EVL work?

yes .... ELV is a good option... but check if it supports or not... most of them don't

anyways if it's just for writing then you could go to any big book store near you to find one...

I found one at some 80 rs at Himalaya bookstore.... long time ago

capacitive stylus will work on any capacitive screen.
Draw back is you won't get palm rejection, so you can't rest your hand on screen while writing.
