dear samsung google pixel 2 and samsung s8 have single camera with similar specs and similar price. so why google pixel 2 has portrait mode and s8 don't. are they more customers loyal and providing best value for money or "their technology, workers team and resources are more futuristic then yours or your development aren't smart, skilled and creative as compare to them". if they are not good as Google's then you should shutdown your firm and start taking coaching from google about creativity and technology.2e879391-1d9a-4d11-801e-54c5ea79ca72.jpg

Google uses software more than hardware to get portrait mode. Which is not easy to implement in Galaxy S8.

Only Google can do this with machine learning. All other manufacturers (including Apple) will take long to catch up with Google.

Lol, maybe had you and your like minded friends used Samsung's services instead of Google's, they would have collected enough data to utilise machine learning to simulate depth of field.

Maybe next time try educating yourself about technology before posting such opinions :)

s8 already have same features with the name of selective focus in both front and back cameras it's working fine but only problem is it's has a range of only 50cm. so if they can made it for small range than " they can easily make it better with simple update"
