why didn't i get the nougat update for my s7 edge ? i am not even on contract

does the people edge lighting feature still work with the s7 edge. after the nougat update I realized that I can't set any colours for my contacts.

Did you pay the required update fee to Samsung? if not go to a Samsung store and the will help you get nougat for free!

I received at time of update, not on contract and didn't have to pay a fee. Is your s7 an original?
