message notification in s8

even after I have seen the pop-up notification of any new message. after sometime I again receive notification from the message app for the same. If I lock my s8 for sometime, I receive notification from the message app that too for the old message that I received when I was using my phone. Continuous notification for the same message from the message app is really very annoying. Is there any way to get rid of this without disabling the notification for the message app.

i too facing the same problem but u are blaming message app though it is not from message app, notification tone sounding without any notification, try changing message tone frome default tone to some other tone then you will understand

You must have enabled continuous notification.

Don't blame samsung for your mistake.

go to settings, notification, then notification reminder and turn it off.

if its on, obviously it will notify every few minutes

Navigate to Apps > Setting > Notifications > Message > Disable.
Navigate to Apps > Setting > Accessibility > Notification Reminder > Disable.
Navigate to Apps > Setting > Lock screen and security > Notifications > Message > Disable.
