I tried to get Google Assistant in every way possible but the only way which worked for me is this.
#1 - go to www.GoogleservicesAPK.com and download the latest play services APK for your respective devices. if you download wrong version or wrong dip it won't work!

#2 - wait for 7-10hrs

#3 - you'll get your Google Assistant confirmed.

latest version depends on region....in India it's 10.9.28....u can get Google assistant with that version....no need to install 10.5.37 ....also if u install it may hang....my mob got hanged after installing latest version
