Samsung needs to enable the eSIM functionality for S20 FE / S20 FE 5G, because it has a hybrid SIM slot.

For customers who wish to use a memory card and 2 SIMS simultaneously, hybrid SIM slot does not solve the purpose. When we paid a premium for the S20 FE / S20 FE 5G, it is unwise for SAMSUNG to have locked this feature on this model.

I was skeptical of having it enabled with the Android 12 update, but unfortunately, it still lacks the eSIM functionality. Are you listening Samsung?

bro, for esim, specific hardware is required. so it cannot be enabled via update

S20fe capable for esim, but it should be enabled through update on firmware

eSIM won't solve that problem.
Activating eSIM will disable 1st physical SIM slot and you have to use 2nd SIM in second SIM slot. 🙃

Samsung should unlock it, it is pointless to buy a phone with such an important feature without unlocking it

This is so ludicrous Samsung! I bought the S20 FE 5G model specifically for this feature, after seeing eSIM advertisement capability for "S20".

I chose the FE 5G from the S20 family,  cause of larger screen & 5G.

How would I suspect that this member of the family would lack such an important feature?

I just found out and I feel so cheated.  Especially knowing its just a bloody firmware flag somewhere that can be fixed with an update!

Shame on you samsung, next time you sell inferior models,  at least CHANGE the name of model entirely.  Say its Sx20, not S20 with something following!
