I have an issue that in a few apps from time to time it won't load anything until I restart wifi, but otherwise its normal. idk if its app specific or system wide, or even some power saving setting that I have unknowingly turned on

I think it's system wide and the battery heats up a lot

I dont think so. battery is never hot on this phone and would not heat up just on WhatsApp or reddit with every other app completely closed.
