Galaxy SDear Samsung member,
Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!
As per your query, we want to inform you that in previous versions of One UI, some SIM information was linked to the SIM itself, while the rest (like the name and icon) were associated with the slot.
However, starting with One UI 7, "all SIM information", including the name and icon, is now tied to the SIM card itself.
Each SIM card now has its unique name, ensuring no duplicates are displayed simultaneously.
Here’s how the new naming works: Names are assigned based on the order of insertion, regardless of the current number of active SIMs. "SIM 1" is given to the first SIM inserted, "SIM 2" to the second, and so forth.
For example, if two new SIM cards are added, the one in slot 1 gets "SIM 1," and the one in slot 2 receives "SIM 2."
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
