always on display

Why is my always on display working even while in pockets? What a waste of battery? Please fix

how about tap to show option ?

Tapping to show is a waste of time.. And not possible to see fingerprint symbol to unlock immediately... And cannot see time from a distant.. Anyways whats the point of tapping to show AOD when u can double tap to see all notifications and time in detail.

I need AOD to be there always unless when its in pockets(which means the proximity sensor is covered)
