I R blaster is a very useful feature last seen on s6 edge. it makes the phone a virtual remote and can help in case of panic situation eg remote batteries running out. even mid-range phones have this feature. having a s7 edge over 1.5 years this was the only flaw i could find with the phone. if addition of hardware on actual device not possible then atleast a dongle or attachment can be included in the box.
