Now no need to use tricks. youtube has a dark theme settings inbuilt. Account->General->Dark theme.

im also trying but not happening. im using S8 and i have watch many videos on youtube all samsung user said dark mode option not showing in setting. and im also facing same prob. so that i will new way

Bro just clear data & cache of YouTube app & try again , hope your YouTube app version is upto date, you can check with mine.
