Why Samsund is too picky on eSim

I have a Hongkong variant of Galaxy s20 5G with a snapdragon processor.

Samsung has already activated esim for us and Canadian snapdragon handsets but not this one.

Why do they complicate life this much ?

What does it cost samsung to push that feature activation through a simple fw update?

Hi... sorry to hear that. Some of the features are different from region to region. Sometimes according to carriers and sometimes as per the requests of the authorized parties of a country.

The thing is in hongkong even other samsung models are having esim

Sadly, Galaxy S20 5G Hong Kong version does not support e-sim that has reported in xda-developers.

That's what they said about US variants too. But later through fw updates they enabled esim for us and Canada.
