Whatsapp calls showing as video calls in phone log

To view only "Normal" calls:Open the Phone app.Tap the three dots (Menu) in the top right.Look for "Calls to show" or a filter icon.You can often select "All calls" or just specific types, though this depends on your specific UI version

I encountered the same issue. While I typically don't mind WhatsApp calls appearing in the phone log, the numbers were displaying without the necessary (+) sign before the country code. This caused dialing from the recent call log to fail. I also tried using "00" instead of (+), but those digits were omitted as well.

I found a solution by installing the Google Phone app and setting it as my default. This app did not include WhatsApp calls in the log. After using it for a couple of weeks, I switched back to the Samsung phone app, and it is no longer showing WhatsApp calls.
