I have previously logged a complaint with my Samsung S22+ and asked for help as a pink line had suddenly come up on my screen, within a few days that 1 line turned into 2 lines. I did try the options sent to me, from the Samsung Members replies on my phone..eg.switch of device, reboot etc and nothing worked so I took the device into the Samsung Store @Gateway and was told that it is an LCD problem and that it would now cost me around R 5500 to repair it. My contract on this device ran for 3 years and it ends 01/03/2025,my contract did not end but now the guys @Samsung say they can not fix something that I DID NOT CAUSE!, Why must I now pay for something i have already paid over R22 000 IN FULL for over the last 3 years.

What does your contract state, as to what your warranty cover or doesn't cover?

I moved homes in the last year so I can't find my copy but according to Telkom they say that it is out of warranty so they can't help me. I have to pay for the repairs myself

If it's out of warranty then sadly you'll have to cover that yourself....

It's a 3 year contract so doesn't it work as 1 year guarantee and 2 years warranty, if the contract has not ended then it should have been covered for a repair

I was gonna ask if you wiped cache partition but then I saw that it's most likely a hardware issue.. You'll have to replace the screen but R5 500 is like literally buying a new phone, that price is ridiculous.. I googled how much the screen costs and the price vary but they all are in the thousands..

Honestly, Samsung is becoming frustrating these days

The amoled (origional) screen is expensive, as it has a high quality ..

If you go to settings>display>screen resolution you'll find that your screen is set at standard FHD+ but it goes beyond to QHD+ which most devices won't support if you share content e.g pic in this quality class.... that's how unique your lcd display is.... it's in its own class

If you have insured it under All Risks on your Householder Policy, that might cover accidental damage, and this problem could've arisen from a fall. It won't cover a bad product that fails, but whoever examines it can give you a cause report and a Samsung Care Centre won't list "**bleep** manufacture" as the cause, so you should be okay there. It's worth looking into your own cover, if you have.
