Hi, I'm using S23 Ultra and i have seen this app by the name "contacts storage" which is draining significant battery. Please if you know anything about it or know how to contain it, do let me know as I'm not messing up with it on my own as I fear it could affect my contacts/calls etc.

Thanks.

The "Contacts Storage" app on your S23 Ultra is responsible for storing and managing your contacts data. It's unusual for this app to drain significant battery, so there may be an underlying issue. Here are a few steps you can take to address this without risking your contacts or calls:

1. Restart Your Phone
2. Update Software
3. Check for App Updates
4.Clear Cache: Go to Settings > Apps > Contacts Storage > Storage >Clear cache.
5. You can check and optimize battery usage settings to ensure that the Contacts Storage app isn't consuming more battery than necessary.
6. Sometimes, sync issues with accounts can cause excessive battery drain. Ensure that your accounts (like Google, Samsung, etc.) are syncing correctly.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may want to back up your contacts and perform a factory reset as a last resort. This can help eliminate any software issues that might be causing the battery drain.

Hello Samsung,
Here's the answer to all these steps

1. Done a number of times
2. Done already
3. Done already
4. There isn't any such app "Contact storage". There is only "contacts" app, and i have already cleared the cache.
5. Done
6. So you are advising me to factory reset my phone? Sorry but this is not okay. I have seen dozens of other people are also facing the same issue. Please resolve this contact storage battery drain issue via an update. To be honest, this poor battery life and buggy power drain is ruining the reputation of Samsung's flagship. Please take the necessary steps in software updates to remove these bugs

Anxiously waiting for your response!
