Hi I'm unable to change default apps, is this expected ?

Ye error “Action not allowed” tab aata hai jab phone ki policy restrictions lagi hoti hain. Common reasons:

Work profile / MDM (Company policy) – Agar phone office/MDM account se linked hai to IT ne default apps change karna block kiya hoga. Parental controls / Family Link – Agar Family Link ya koi restriction app active hai to ye option lock ho jata hai. Secure Folder / Second profile – Kuch apps ya profiles ke andar default app change allowed nahi hota. Bug / Glitch – Kabhi One UI update ke baad temporary bug bhi ho sakta hai.

🔧 Solutions try karo:

Check karo Settings → Security → Device admin apps, dekh lo koi restriction app active to nahi. Agar Google Family Link ya koi parental control on hai to disable karo. Work profile/MDM hai to sirf admin hi unlock kar sakta hai. Safe Mode me boot karke dekh lo (power button → restart → Safe Mode). Agar waha change ho raha hai to koi 3rd party app block kar raha hai. Agar kuch bhi kaam na kare to Settings → General management → Reset → Reset all settings try kar sakte ho (data delete nahi hoga, bas settings reset hongi).

Try disabling Auto blocker from settings and see.
