USB device not supported

Says 'usb device not supported' for external usb mic attached with 3.5mm to C type adapter.. i wanna know if it could be an adapter issue or is my phone not compatible with external mics? Mine is a JBL mic and an S20FE

It's not an issue with any of the device. It just that the adapter isn't compatible with your phone

Use any adapter which has inbuilt DAC,,,samsung type c to 3.5 mm not available,samsung withdraw it from market to forefully use bluetooth headphone.
