Turning off adaptive screen brightness via notification menu is a pain

Has anyone tried to turn off adaptive screen brightness from the notification menu. Almost all the time it sets the brightness as high, instead of selecting the 3 Dots for the additional brightness setting with adaptive brightness on it. Please Samsung!! Fix this as everytime it "mistakenly" goes bright. My lighting patterns are messed up, and there is no option to reset screen brightness usage patterns. That's annoying because I could be in a dark room, and the auto brightness is now too bright for a dark room and general use. It then learns that it needs to be brighter than actually required

Fix it or bring the reset usage patterns back✌️

Maybe it stopped after getting an update. Most probably Samsung is aware of this.
