Battery life kept on depleting after every update since purchase,  but after one ui 2.1 it is worse. Pathetic battery life need more than 2 full charges daily. Just waiting to move away from samsung if even the next note comes with exynos . 
Updates usually improve the device but its the way round with Samsung. 
Already working in hospital during this time and facing these battery issues . Annoyed by Samsung

how did you update your software? it's need to be flash not simply update by mobile data ..any big update allaways firmware flash necessary ..even wifi also create problem

try a factory reset for now...but you have to perform a perfectly factory reset..after reset your device from account and backup settings, when your device will boot then switch of device imminently and bring factory mood ..reset from there also...but when next update will come then please flash it instead of simply download....because it's not procedure actually network fluctuations can give incomplete software which damage software side..then also you will be able to install it but you will also welcome full of software glitches and bugs which leads poor battery issue, ui lag ,ghosting touch, poor camera performance, app crush etc(NOTE...wifi download is recommended but I noticed especially Samsung devices facing those issues downloading by wifi also ..hence flash firmware through Odin tools or from service center is more accessible process to overcome this)

battery issue is there after update.Also it is taking more time to charge phone.

Kindly follow the below mentioned step to improve the performance of the device

 

1.Perform Battery Optimization: Settings > Select Device Maintenance/Device Care > Optimize > Optimize all options like Battery, Storage and Memory

2.Adjust screen timeout settings: Settings> Display> Screen timeout> Select minimum screen timeout.

 

If the issue still persists, kindly attach the log file and send it to us in the Samsung member application (attach when the issue occurs within first 15 minutes of the occurrence of the issue.):-

Samsung Members App > Feedback >Error report > Attach log file for any issue
