All mobile service providers, with the government's collaboration are going to offer the latest and top Android/ iPhone models on Installments to all postpaid customers starting from june 2024.
Now everyone who qualifies can get their phone of choice easily and cheaper then Banks leasing rates.
This will give a boom to mobile industry as well as feel of security because these phones were insured and can't be used in Pakistan if stolen.
Because just like the car insurance is must, when you get a car on leasing, same goes for mobiles and all charges are included in the Installments.
Remember as an individual no one goes for insurance and if someone got the mobile insured the rate will be higher and mobile got snatched, insurance company deals as an individual but if the insurance is done by Jazz & Ufone etc it would be cheaper and insurance companies has to adjust the claim timely as well.
As per my expertise and education of IT the system is there but the caretakers are not operating it to track mobiles which are stolen. PTA fault it is.
In New phones from 2021 or 2022 you can see MEID Samsung and Apple these IDs are embeded with main borad and can't be changed like imei patching these days. So there is system and ways to locate phones and discourage snatching amd parts selling by black channels.
